I think you will still run into the same problem as the aftermarket 20s and 30s. In my experience with mags for the Mini, I have found 3 potential problems(and there certainly could be others I am not aware of) with aftermarket mags. One is the follower catching on the front of the mag. This can be fixed with a Ruger follower. The second is weak feed lips that deform easily. You can tweak them into the correct postion, but they tend to bend at will. The third is the mag catch is either too high or too low, and the mag won't catch. If it is too low, you can carefully file the bottom of the tab to the right position for the mag latch to catch. As for too high, I don't know, that goes beyond my mechanical abilities.
Now that I have given way more info than anyone wanted, I would suggest that if you have to go with an aftermarket mag, find some PMI(Precision Mag Industries). I have never had to do any work on these mags. Thermomolds also work great, but I believe they only come in 30 round. Triple K have been hit and miss for me, but at least with those, you could always send them back to Triple K until they got it right. And as always, stay away from USA(although, who knows, maybe their 10 round mags work)???
