I have all but ceased listening to conventional TV and radio. Still listen to Rush and to the Black Avenger. I still watch Food TV on satellite, but other than that, I just can't take the BS dibbled forth from the majority of mainstream communications handlers.

I get depressed. And then I log on and come here to get all warm and fuzzy. Just wanted to say thanx to all the other 'crazy, right-wing, gun culture, elitist, constitutional wackos' out there. Thanks for keeping me sane.

Don't let the bad guys get you down. And when they do, come hang out in one of the gun cultures safe havens, "THE FIRING LINE!".

Again, thanks to all, especially those who help make this happen.

I know the feeling, it seems like I only am able to watch a few channels of mostly specialized entertainment. Some decent stuff on sci-fi like twilight zone, history channel, A&E crime and every now & again a older decent horror movie. I'd likely die if i had to watch NBC from 8:00pm to 10:00pm although I haven't watched those channels for years. Get my news off the web because I have a hard time stomaching the state news channels, although I do understand fox still has some fairly unbaised reporting.

I tend to agree. Fox News is good. History and A&E, well you can only fight WWII so many times and Food TV needs to BAM Emiril upside the head.

Tell me about it - last night I watched a couple of hours of CNN channels, including two "neutral" shows packed with pro-gore people (including that bolshievik EBERT, BOY what a commie), and some Geraldo Rivera.

Then, I washed that all down with my first (and hopefully last) episode of West Wing. Is it always this brutally pro-Democrat, pro-police-state and anti-freedom?

That all gave me a LITERAL headache - my head was spinning, it all just really hit me.

Sci-Fi is showing Babylon 5 at 7PM EST. I want one of those PPGs (Pulsed Particle Guns). I love the way the air ripples along the line of fire. When Captain Picard and Captain Janeway are still trying to empathize with the bad guy's motivations, Commander Jeffrey Sinclair and Security Chief Michael Garibaldi are going for the center of mass.

I'm still trying to fill the void left by the ending of La fem Nikita. I like first wave, invisable man (they're always pulling a gun out of somewhere, I like that) and Relic hunter. I have bad taste.
 
History channel, TNN (soon to move to NYC and be taken over by MTV :(), TV Land and Discovery. If you can focus out the fact that Ted own's them and is married to Jane "I wanna be a VC" Fonda" TNT and TBS has a lot of old westerns and Clint movies on.

Other than that modern television is a lot like the line from Ghost Busters, "Modern literature is dead. I collect spores, mold and fongus."

Last winter I enjoyed La Femme Nikita and sometimes Startrek Voyageur (when it wasn't a soap opera). On Foxnews after the Crier Report was cut, they deteriorated to and screaming matches on Hannity & Colmes and liberal and anti-gun biased tabloid journalism :mad:
So last April 19th I through the TV in the dumpster (really hard - but the tube didn't break :(

David, I share your opinion of Babylon Five. Someday I must get a new TV and watch reruns of both it and La Femme Nikita.
 
While on a trip today the gal on the 2:00pm ABC news said "you'll be disappointed to hear that the grade schoolers that successfully pocked the last 9 elections have selected Bush 54 to 43%"
Disappointed my arse! What gives them the right to tell us how we feel.
For me its Rush only.
Just can't stand the rest nor can I wait to vote. Gore has a real "package" all right but it's in his head.

Unless I hear consistently great things about Foxnews no longer doing tabloid journalism, Ophrah imitations, and instead being rabidly pro-gun and anti-government (rabid being just normal since the rest of the media is so far gone), then I will continue without television.

I thus have more range time.
