Something for Pennsylvanians to think on.

Governor Rendell, signed the infamous PAYJACKING LEGISLATION. He also, while Mayor of Philadelphia lead the charge, or was certainly part thereof, re suing gun makers and dealers for the criminal acts of third parties, over who they had absolutely no control or influence of any kind.

There were other factors in play, factors that argued strongly against Rendell's re-election, which leaves one wondering as to the following. Where did Rendell's margin, 62% to Swan's 38% come from? Additionally, there is the following: What might FOUR MORE YEARS bring?

Rendell won because he's extremely popular in the urban areas of the state, and Swann is an empty shirt. Swann may be a nice guy but ran a very weak campaign, IMO.

No, I am not happy about this.

The cancer has spread from NY and NJ to PA. Not only did we loose the governorship but now have three anti congresscritters replacing pro gun folks.

Joe Sestak is particularly vile, he has been touted on the Brady Site as a paragon of gun control.

is the PA state house still in republican hands?
i heard +1 on the republican side?

that's the only defense against rendell at this point...

I think it might have been Thomas Jefferson who once observed that "people usually get the sort of government they don't vote against."

I ain't sure, but I think the people of Pennsylvania got the sort of government they voted for.

I'm from NE PA, live now in Oklahoma...what happened in PA is nothing more than what is happening in the Northeast.

Sheeple are replacing the People...

I remember growing up in the small town I'm from and seeing gun racks in pickups...with guns in them in the Fall and Winter, fishing poles in the Spring and Summer...I'd bet you don't see that anymore!!! Too many liberals from New Jersey, New York and Philly have moved into the area!

No, you don't see many gun racks in the back windows of pickups anymore, but I think that's mostly due to the fact that most pickups have taller seats and actual headrests. That and hanging a gun in the back window just invites theft.

4 more years of Rendell...who knows???!! The issue of one-gun-a-month was and still is a popular subject among the Philly politicians even though it was struck down with Thor`s hammer in the legislature. Rendell, who came out in support for the proposal earlier in the campaign, has not been a strong vocal backer for the bill. As a Philly politician years ago, gun control was one of Rendell`s pet peeves...nowadays he needs to appeal to the Pennsyltucky electorate.
