Some nice looking 10mm ammo.

I'm a big fan of the BARNES X bullets as loaded by Double Tap and Cor-Bon.

These loads are impressive looking, even if some don't believe in the
advertised velocity YMMMV

After owning a 10mm for about 12 years, and selling it last year.. this Makes me want to buy a another TEN!

I've shot more than a bit of DT 10mm and other calibers as well.

A Glock 29SF or Witness Polymer Compact would be a good home for this
ammo.

For those of you who want to go heavier than 155 grains.

At one time, Double tap was primo high velocity, high performance ammo. Currently, their printed velocities seem grossly overstated-something that was not the case a number of years ago.

:(:(

I reaload most all my 10mm but one of my favorite factory loads is Winchesters 175 Silvertips. I dumped a deer with this round as fast as a good 44mag. I would like to try Double Tap just for fun but no one carries it around me.

Forget "velocity" .Do they work ? Yes very well !! :D
Barnes all copper bullets have been around for a long time .I've used Corbon DPX in 9mm, 40 S&W, 44 mag. I have ready to try 45-70 and 223. Woodchucks, deer and carry ,yes it's good stuff.:)

there 357 magnum 158 grain at an advertised 1400FPS from a 4.0 inch barrel where my carry load for a long time.

I bought a box or two of that 10mm Equalizer. Fired 5 rounds and had 10 holes in the paper

The box didn't say that those were duplex rounds. The website does.

Mr czf, is that you firing a Witness 10mm? Have you any experience with the slides cracking, might that be internet rumor? And do you agree that it ejects the brass into the next zip-code?

I sold mine mostly because it had just too big of a grip for me. But I am quite happy with the S&W 1076 with Hogue grips. Yes, it holds less rounds but I like it more.

Whom you could ask about the 9.8mm Colt Pistol round of 100 years ago. Who said 10mm - .40 cal. concept was relatively new?

It absolutely is NOT internet rumor. Go to www.10mmTalk.com and search. There are other threads on other Forums by different owners, all of which include pic's. The distance empty brass is ejected is almost directly proportional to slide velocity and true 10mm ammo will send empties a long way when fired. There really is no way to get around that.

Since Double Tap's major claim to fame in the 10mm market is selling full power ammo which meets or exceeds the original spec. for the round by Dornaus & Dixon, I think not. Also, while the emasculated ammo may function effectively, dropping down to near .40 S&W velocities makes little sense as that round in chambered in a vast array of smaller, handier guns. In essence, if you're satisfied with .40 S&W exterior ballistics, you need a .40 S&W, not a 10mm.

This doesn't even address the wide disparity between the published vs actual velocities, regardless of caliber. It's especially grating if you ever used some of McNett's original Double Tap product.
