What is the difference between the 629-4 and the newer 629-5? Is the newer "dash five" a stronger 629 than the previous models?
Also, I have seen a lot of comments on the strength of the 629, and how it cannot stand up to the same loads as a RedHawk. My question is, how long would a 629 Classic stand up to factory loads, such as the 300gr Federal CastCore, the Rem 275gr hunting load, or any off the 200, 240, and 300gr Hornady XTP's? I plan on doing a lot of hunting with mine, using 240 - 300gr factory loads, and I want to spend a lot of time practicing with it.
Lastly, does anyone offer a reduced power trigger return spring for the 629? I am happy with the pull in single action, but I would like to improve on the double action pull. Are there any problems I could run in to? IS changing this spring a goo idea?
THANKS!
