The plinking range I go to only allows for slugs. I'm using a pump action 870 so it doesn't need to cycle the action but it does need to feed reliably (I'm not sure the Mini-Shells do). Any suggestions?
Remington reduced recoil slugs are consistent, accurate to 100 meters, inexpensive, have MUCH less recoil and how could anyone feel undergunned with a .73" 1oz flatpoint of butter soft lead at 1200 fps? Try them you'll like them. Warning they hit higher than a regular slug.
