SOB holster?

Any of you use a small of the back holster? I plan to get one for my ruger sp 101 and would like to have inputs of people using this kind. Thanks!

i used to carry my xd sc sob all the time but its painful it your sitting down a lot while wearing it. i know carry at 3:00 iwb. in my opinion i think it conceals easier and more comfortable.

Does conceal very well, but it is a tad painful. Is also very hard to get to your firearm from a seated position, i.e., in a car. And carries the risk of permanent injury if you were to fall on it during a scuffle or just accidentally slip.

I recommend against it, and IIRC most folks in similar threads agree with that advice.

The negatives: It is slower, less comfortable, harder to defend in a struggle, and posses a undue risk of serious injury. The plus? It is very concealable when viewed from the front.

Which is not to say that it cannot be done. I'm curious, though, why have you apparently settled on SOB carry?

Nice way to seriously injure your back in a scuffle. Falling on the weapon could result in serious nerve/vertebral damage that could last a lifetime.

When worn properly the SOB provides excellent concealement, is extremely comfortable, provides good access for both hands, and does not pose any more of a chance of injury than most other designs. It is difficult to draw from while seated, but that is about its only real drawback.

why the SOB? because I'm lefty and it's the only model I've found "in stock" for my ruger SP101 :-( I was considering a good IWB but the waiting list at milt sparck is way too long and lots of holsters manufacturers doesn't ship to europe anymore :barf: some still do but the only one who have some lefty in stock only have the SOB.

I would recommend against it for all of the reason mentioned above. You do what works for you, but there are better options in my opinion. Good luck.
