after 150 rounds i like the gun for what it is.
started off with 7+1 of cci mini mag 36gr. h.p. the first two jammed. removed magazine and was able to push the slide shut to fire each time. it seemed like the bullets of these first two rounds had a lot of wax or something on them?
then I tried out win. wildcat 40gr. lrn. the second round jammed, removed magazine and reset the round in the pop up bbl and ripped the rest off.
those were the only jams, brand new in the first few magazines loaded. 50 rounds of wildcat and 100 rounds of mini mags.
one quirk I found is that its sometimes a PIA to load the 7th round in the mag, requiring me to hold the tabs on the sides of the follow and fiddle with it a bit. its like the follower gets hung up at the sixth round or the mag spring gets snagged on something. no problems firing, just loading the 7th round on occasion. I will strip the magazine and look for burrs when I clean it.
so, yes, id rather have this gun in .25acp but cant find it in my area. good news is .22lr is easily found (in my area) and cheap compared to .25acp.
my favorite .22lr rounds for semiautos is Remington yellow jackets or vipers. I think the truncated profile aids in feed reliability as I've never had a jam with those rounds in any of my .22s.
sorry, no pix. this was just a quick trip, load and fire as fast as I could pull the trigger. all I did to the gun was oil the slide rails before shooting.
thanks.
