So, I built this pistol rack

I have been seeing a lot of different pistol racks online. So, I decided to try and build one myself. I built this rack using old scraps of of MDF, black felt from my wifes' craft stash and painted it with Duplicolors truck bed coating. This is my first attempt. I will try again but I will engineer it with an adjustable barrel holder. If that is possible. I have probably got $4 in materials.

Thanks!!!! I had seen some online go for 50 bucks or so that are oak. But I decided to build it myself and put more money in my darlings:)

I have a similar rack, the only problem is some pistols tend to tip over and it becomes a pain to load and unload the rack. my mkII is a pain in the ... I haven't figured out how to improve it without making pistol specific spots.

I love all this talk about racks... Here's a pic of my little DIY rack. It was definately inspired by the manabout racks. Some scrap wood. a jigsaw, some glue and screws...

...A custom made gun rack that is a perfect fit for my safe!

I posted some pics of the racks I built awhile back. IMHO you need some type of divider at the rear to keep the butts seperated. I used 3/8" acrylic dowel rod and it worked awesome, if you place it in the right position it will work for all sidearms. Good job, nothing like making it on your own!!
