So I bought a Talo LCR....

Went to my LGS to but some guns up for consignment. My goal was to pick up a snub other then a S&W. I had a 638 but never warmed up to it. Yea, I know its a tool to be carried but it's also how the guns feels and it just didn't feel right to me.

When I got to the LCR section I thought, "hey that might work". I asked to see both the .38spl and .357 version. Although both are pretty much the same size, the .357 was just a tad heavier, especially in the front. For how light the LCRs are, I wouldn't be shooting .357s in it anyhow so the slightly increased cost and weight was unnecessary.

I then looked down the case and saw a blue/grey LCR for only $10 more. After looking it up, I found out is was a Talo edition where only 1,500 where made. It looked pretty nice and was just different enough that I wouldn't be like everyone else. ....

Well considering it felt better in the hand, had a very smooth trigger and lighter weight feel over my 638 and SP101, I put money down on it right there. I'm going to wait till the guns on consignment sell before picking it up. I definatly have to say, Rugers fit my bill better then any other revolver. Hopefully it shoots as well as it feels. If it proves itself, it will be my new ankle and 5.11 shirt carry when I'm riding my Giant Revel 1 down the trails.

This is a stock photo but it looks exactly the same.

So, who else has one and how do you like it?

LCR .38

Just got one and it shoots just fine. I like the trigger and the light weight is not a problem for firing the revolver. Recoil for me is straight back not so much a flip up. I don't want to go out and fire a whole lot of rounds at once but plan a weekly trip to the range and fire 10 or fifteen rounds to keep proficiant with it. I bring my cowboy six 22lr for more fun. Good luck with yours.:)
