So i bought a arex zero 1

I am sure you have seen the MAC youtube tests, in which this pistols passed with unbelievable flying colors. Nice pistol, nice choice, enjoy it my friend

interesting, a sig knockoff which has a manual safety separate from the decocker. I might have to look into this a little closer.

Glad you like it OP.

Not something I would buy myself though, especially at the price they want for one - close to $600 I believe, when the other east bloc competition is in the $400 range and being a pistol with no track record. Time will tell about that and if there will be ongoing warranty support and parts availability.

For the same or close money one could get a new Beretta 92../M9 or CZ 75 series - 75B, SP01, P01, PCR, etc as far as metal frame hammer fired pistols. Even the poly frame HK P2000 hammer fired pistol goes for same or less. All these are very proven pistols with a long track record and good warranty support and parts availability. Lots of nice used SIG P226/P228 (if lucky)/P229 in same price range too.

Always interesting to see something new in the market place though.

I'm curious to see how this gun performs in the market, and whether there will be support a couple years from now.

It seems to be a nicer, more polished alternative to the Zastava EZ9, which in turn is a cheaper alternative to the Sig pistols. I have a Zastava CZ99 (the first generation of the EZ), and it functions perfectly... but there is zero support. I can't even find magazines. This isn't an issue for me, since I have this gun "just because"; but if it were my primary gun it would be a problem.

It looks nice, but I'd rather have a CZ 75 or Beretta 92FS for the price.

I lookd at the other options. Felt comfy going with it. Magazines are easily available and houge has grips coming for it.

Im a Sig guy myself so I dont care too much about the Arex Zero. What caught my eye was the Battleborn grease Mac used on the gun. Seemed like good stuff.
