so... I reconverted my Dan Wesson 44 magnum snubbie, to 6" ( aren't Dan Wesson switch barrels great )
which leaves me another space on my snubbie rack... as I pan through the calibers, I'm finding I may have to pick up a 22 Magnum snubbie... please lets not debate weather the 22 Mag belongs in a snubbie, I currently have calibers ranging from 32 H&R magnum, to 454 Casull, so lets leave the discussion, as "just because we can" or "just because they are available"
the only 2 current manufacture I'm aware of, off the top of my head, are Taurus & Ruger, with current offerings being the 8 shot Taurus, & a 6 shot LCR... any others I'm not thinking of ???
I currently have a 4" Taurus 22 mag that was converted to centerfire & shoots a custom reloadable 22, so I'm aware of Taurus " lack of finesse" however it holds at least 2 more cartridges in basically the same size package & that's a pretty big advantage... I also have an LCRX in 38 Special, so I'm aware of how that package functions... the Taurus I'm looking at is stainless, the Ruger, the LCR, so the Ruger is much lighter... but the Taurus has more fire power...
I'm not sure if the SP101 is still available ( or ever has been ) in 22 mag ??? sorry... forgot about the S&W 351 ( PD & C )... I think that is also available in 22 Mag... albeit at a couple hundred $$$ more than the other two, but it does hold 7 rounds, & is much lighter than the Taurus...
so... what else is available, ooops... I see Charter arms has an offering as well... anything else, & which would you choose??? right now I'm leaning towards the 351 PD
