Seems a lot of us here are snub fans. Does anyone else think the addition of "The Snub Club" would be welcomed?

Bad idea - fragments the community even worse than it is.

I only have time to track four forums: wheelgun, general handgun, general and legal.

We already have forums for revolvers and autos.

Why have special forums for different types of revolvers and autos?

What's next? Forums for different brands?

I don't think things that increase tribalism are good.

Snubs. Multiple forums.
Large frame, medium frame, small frame.
Revolvers, knuckledusters, derringers.

Nah.

I'd personally like a forum devoted specifically to Smith & Wesson Model 042 revolvers carried exclusively in pocket holsters...

Let me get this straight...

There are some folks who think that instead of having a General Handgun Forum, a Revolver Forum, and a Semiauto Forum, that we should go to a General Handgun Forum, a Revolver Forum, a Semiauto Forum, and a Special Snubnose Revolver Forum?

So, for example, any time we're talking about, say, 629's in the Revolver Forum, and someone makes a post about a 3" 629 in that post, should I move the whole thread to the hypothetical Snubnose Forum, or just the offending post?

Do you really think that there are enough threads dealing with specifically and only snubnose revolvers to rate its' own forum?

Could owners of snubnose autopistols join, or would this be an exclusive club?

Would they want their own forum?

If there are all that many snub fans, why not have a website? Hmmm. "Snubbyville.com" might work. A Good Thing for the originator of this idea to at least consider!

Would this site be further subdivided into the number of shots in the Snubby? The usual five or six, and then the oddballs with more? (Are there Snubby shooters who know of less than five shots?)

How short would my Snubby have to be before I could join up? I'd suffer from all manner of psychic trauma should I be found to have an overly-long Snubby. And, should this be limited to original equipment, or is amputation allowed?

How would we know whether somebody is less than truthful as to the dimensions of their own Snubby? Or, even the number of shots in that Snubby. Guys have been known to lie about things like that. Shameful, but true.

Seems to me, more research is needed.

Would the relative snubbiness be guaged in proportion to the caliber ?

Or maby in proportion to the gunner........A four inch I frame would look right snubby in the hand of a big un while a 2" J could look largish in my little paw.

Potential for bout lebenteen different forums just on the snubbies.

Sam, rather snubby myself.

Well, Let's See - - -

Set up a separate forum for SNR (Snub Nose Revolver) specialists. Then we could hold matches. I can see it now: Specialist Snubs to meet (barely) the letter of the qualification restrictions--Let's see--Required that barrels be under three inches to qualify? Then, instead of 2-1/2" Model 19s and 2-3/4 " Security Sixes, we have specially modified 8-shot N-frame S&Ws with 2.998" barrels. Such gamesmanship would gain a miniscule advantage, with no relationship to real life. The real world guys who drop a 2" model 60 or Colt Cobra in their pocket for concealed carry would be left in the dust.

Hey, why not?:(

Good Lord, please no more Balkanization of our forums. It'd be like Glock Talk. I'm afraid that the next thing would be the .38 snub forum, the .357 snub forum, and the "other" snub forum for us weirdos with 9mms and .44 spls. Please, let's keep it as is.

And Rev. Gerber, dude, you've only been here for 10 posts! Try it out first before you want to change it! :)
