Smith&Wesson Model 651

Give the nice person the money and run. Why? I have been looking for a M651 for years and I have never seen one at that price. Regards, Richard :D

Model 651

Hello
the model 651 is a varient to the original model 51 that was blued. These revolvers are the smaller-J-frame style and are not the Tack driver that there bigger brother the model 48 is. This model is a K-frame and is a super tack driver. I suppose the smaller frame is what is part of the accuracy problems with the 651. They are loud and if it is the shorter barrel they will tend not to be as accurate as a longer one, say a 6" barrel. I asked why and the response was with that round in a snubby barrel the powder is not all burned by the time the bullet leaves.I prefer the 48 & HAD one with the optional .22 cylinder. If it were me I would hold off and loacate a 48 with both cylinders. Then you have a very versiatile revolver.. Just my thoughts. Hammer It.

I have a 651 (I think that's the correct number), it has both a .22 rim, and a .22mag. cylinders. Fantastic little gun, round butt, J-frame, 3in. barrel. Mine is qiute accurate with both cylinders. Sometimes CCW it with the mag cylinder.

Does it have 2 cylinders?

Buy it!

I bought it!

I bought it.Nice little gun. You were right it is very loud, but thats ok.
It has a 4" barrel 22mag only. J frame and square butt.
Thanks for the replies.:)

You did well. I would have bought the gun at that price also.

I have a square butt model 63 that would have made a nice mate to your gun.
