Smith & Wesson model 29 LNIB value

I just returned from my local toy store and found a Like New in box model 29 S&W 44 mag. I think manufacture was somewhere around 1980. What would be a decent price for such a find? He is asking $500 but will come down to $450.

I would say 450 is a good deal. Everyone should have a Dirty Harry gun. I paid that much for a new one back in 1993. As the model 29 has been discontinued (still making 629s, though) that would fall into the "must have" category. Did I mention I like model 29s? Heh, heh!
