Smith & Wesson M629 Trailboss

I just purchased a S&W M629 Trailboss...this is the new stainless three inch barreled .44mag with an un-fluted cylinder, and Im ecstatic :) How do I love the Trailboss? Let me count the ways: 1. ammo versatility-I can load it with the .44 special round when appropriate 2. the three inch tube is just right, not too long, not too short 3. LOVE THAT UN-FLUTED CYLINDER 4. Its the perfect bellygun 5. It has a detachable lanyard ring 6. suffice it to say that this has become my favorite handgun.....I highly recommend this model to anyone who is looking for .44 mag power in a compact, weather resistant and easily portable package. Its everything Ive ever wanted in a revolver and more. Total cost after tax was $801.00, and worth every penny!

Thank you Sammunition.44mag. The Trail Boss has long been on my list of "next purchase"...I had a 2-1/2 inch model 629 but did not like the sights...(just a rear notch)...it was better for carrying than one with sights IMO, but I much prefer the trail boss. That unfluted cylinder just looks c-o-o-l.
I sold the 629...so now I think I will replace it with the Trail Boss. I will have to wait until next year though at least... :(
Hope you enjoy yours...

Hey Keens and Bullfrog99,

Thanks for the replies. Keens, Im positive youll enjoy your Trailboss when you make your purchase next year...and yeah, that unfluted cylinder is just way cool. Bullfrog99, sorry, I dont have a way to post any pics, but it can be seen at the Smith & Wesson website...just search for it by caliber, the pic is a good one and can be enlarged to show detail.

Thanks again folks
