Smith &Wesson M&P compact

I recently acquired a S&W M&P compact in 9mm. I have heard rumors that the compact pistol will accept and function with the magazines from the larger M&P pistol of the same caliber, much like the Glocks. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, they will function with the larger capacity mag as used in the full sized M&P 9.
