Smith & Wesson 910 9mm - user experiences?

I had one for about 8 months durring that time I fired about 500 rounds through it. The trigger was ok in DA and SA, the sights were ok and the gun was fairly accurate.

It had some small parts in the frame that had to be tucked in before you could replace the slide when you stripped it for cleaning.

Here is the problem I noticed It seemed that the Barrel lower lugs were steadily eating into the forward section of the frame rails. Each time I stripped it to clean it the gouges where the barrel lugs hit the frame in recoil got deeper.

I called S&W and they said it was "normal" wear for the barrel to destroy the forward frame rails:(

I traded it on an SP101 revolver because the wear concerned me.

The gun was reliable but not wonderful, since I also owned a ruger P89 I saw no need for the smith. The p89 while not as refined was just as accurate and showed no wear after over 1000 rounds.

Friend of mine had one. He had accuracy problems, groups were MUCH larger than what should be expected.

He tried different types of ammo, not much change.

I thought the gun just might not be right for him, so I and another friend benched it. Our results were about the same -- quite disappointing.

He ended up trading it for a Sig 229.

I had a 915 the only gun I have ever sold. :barf:

If the gun was accurate the trigger was so bad you could never tell. :barf:
