The 908 is a great gun. Mags are expensive and getting harder to find. They show up at the usual internet sources (midway, cdnn, etc), but might be back ordered so you might have to wait a bit. Be careful... These 3rd gen S&W's are addictive. 908's lead to 6906's... 6906's lead to 5903's. Oh you'll need that 4513 for the .45 ammo you have stored up.

Wasn't the 908 the 'Poor man's' 3913? If so then the magazine from the 3913 ought fit. But I suspect $30 can be considered expensive by some.

3913 will fit...I am going get another 3rd Gen.I like them carried a 5904. That's next or a5906..package my mag came in said 908 and 3913 it was a factory mag.I try stay away from promag they don't work for me

Note, too, that some of the junky Pro-Mags can be greatly improved with new springs or followers -- and sometimes springs alone are enough to make a difference. (Wolff Springs.) And then, that's only if you have already bought them and are having problems.)

Recently had an issue where Chip McCormick mags didn't work in one of mine,
but the cheapo Pro-Mag's did...
any mag MFR can have a bad day...they do make thousands upon thousands...
also helps if one has learned to "tune" mags...(adjust so that they work better).

Sometimes it's also the mag catch, they wear out/made badly too,
and that'll drive you BANANAS until you find out that's the issue.

My mag OK..got a factory mag works perfect even cleaned the promag didn't help
