Just got one .these well made little guns.. Mags kinda hard to find...came with a promag which was junk..had to order a factory one.. I like these Smith's better than the Tupperware Smith's.. Probably gonna get rid of my sd9ve for another one

Last weekend I got one of the 410s in .40 S&W. Came with 2 factory mags, both the neutered 10 rounders, but that's OK.

What did you have to give for it? I walked out the door with mine for just over $300.
 
Race - I'm with you. Have a 908s that's a keeper along with a very clean model 10-5 standard barrel revolver. In fact, the DA pull on my 908s is very similar in travel and pull to the revolver. Amazing guns. I'd sell all the others before I'd sell these two.

I've had good luck over the last couple of years finding a few mags at the local gun store. I now have four, three 8 rounders and a 7 rounder, all with the curved base plates. I think I paid $15 each for the three I bought.

Worth a try.

I wasn't exactly a S&W pistol fan when I was told I was going to be required to start carrying a then-new 5903 at the end of '89. :eek:

I took that gun through my firearms instructor school in '90, and then used it hard in my role as an instructor, and carried it for duty. I later became an armorer, and ended up going to 4 of the 3rd gen pistol armorer classes/recerts over the years.

I've seen them used (and abused) by cops for years. I've helped support close to a thousand 3rd gen guns, both the early ones and the TSW's that eventually replaced them. I've carried an assortment of issued 3rd gen models for uniform & plainclothes assignments.

I presently have a fair number of 3rd gen S&W pistols in 3 calibers (9,. 40 & .45) in my safe. Great guns.

The 908 & 908S are nice compact single-stack 9's. I have a late-production 3913, and last years I bought a 3913TSW that I'd carried as an issued gun (which I hand-selected from the remaining stock of NIB/unissued ones in our inventory ;) ).

Mags for the 3913, 3914 are the same only SS. I ordered some from midway and they worked great. Paid about $35 each IIRC.
