I own a S&W 4566TSW as well as 2 4566's and 2 4506's and 1 645.

My 4566TSW has 8,943 rounds through it and has yet to fail. It will feed anything given to it including a magazine of shell casings. It's accuracy at 25yds offhand is 1.75" while my other 45 series guns run at 2.25" at the same distance with the same ammo. Overall, I'm more than pleased and wouldn't hesitate a second to purchase another of this series. S&W may be on the dog list with gun owners, but they can make a gun, well, discounting the sigma line, but every maker does make a mistake every once in a while.

I am using a 4003TSW for carry, in addition to a G27. Have not had problems with the 4003 yet. It shoots everything I feed it, and besides,,,it is the best made and tightest fitted gun I have ever had so far as far as tolerances.

I agree. I always heard S&W's were junk but everyone I shot was very accuratly and fitted tightly. I have a 3953 that was bought NIB due to the price of $379.00. The top outer edge of the barrel crown is slightly nicked due to display case handling but it shoots more accurately than I do.

I inquired with Smith about it and they said they would take it back asap for evaluation and even gave me a FedX shipping number to do so. I have opted to leave well enough alone.

Something else I noted was that Smith sent a letter signed by the employees with a $25.00 discount coupon for merchandise when I sent in the warranty card.

The thing I like best is the attention to detail and fit of the weapon. The frame checkering is perfect and makes a difference on grip.

Bachman Pawn and Guns of Dallas has more than one NIB 4566 TSW at a price of $435.00 to $450.00---------------a steal.
