Smith semi-auto chiefs special

I don't see posts on these guns. (The 45 looks interesting.) Anyone out there have experience with them? What do you think of them?

I handled one in a gun shop, it didn't seem to bricklike for me, but hands vary. It's compact but by no means light. Frankly, if I wanted a DA .45, I'd get a Ruger P97 instead. You pays your money and takes your choice.

David Scott, I shoot and trust my CS45. It required a trigger job but other than that it has been a troble free pistol. Mine has a matte finish, three magazine, Novak sights, and a carrying case. The trigger job made all the difference in the world with this handgun. How? My accuracy improved that much. Regards, Richard

Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone have any chrono information on the .45? Is the velocity loss significant? Negligible?

Give some consideration to a 1991A1 compact or a colt defender
both can be had for the same price as a chiefs special, and you can carry them cocked and locked.
