my mdl 25/45 colt has a small problem; for some reason when the cylinder latch is pushed, the cylinder won'r pop open. I have to bump it with the palm of my hand; I cleaned the cylinder star, as best I could. and oiled it etc.
the cylinder doesn't seem to be rubbing the forcing cone; my money is on a weak spring somewhere in the system. any input on this problem is much appreciated. :)
 
Just exactly how much money are you talking about on the weak spring thingy?

I would say a loose ejector rod too, if you did a thorough job of cleaning under the extractor star. And if it is a loose ejector rod, bumping it open isn't a good idea.

you guys are right. it was a loose ejector rod; now I can take it on vacation to Idaho. thanks guys, I apprciate it.
