1. I have been told that the Smith is a 1948 (serial # K41058). It is 38 special, 6 inch ribbed barrel. I would like to know the model # and a value. The gun is 95+ percent. Sorry the pictures are not the best.
2. The Colt is also a 38, 95+ percent. It has a round grip and frame that I have not found any info. on it. There serial # 8278xx. I would appreciate any info. and value.
3. I just finished building a 7x57 98 Mauser sporter (Timney trigger, short throw safety, nice wood and Conetrol scope mounts). It came out nice and I am thinking of converting a 7.65 98 Mauser to a 30-06. Do you know of anything that might make me change my mind. Do you have any barrel recommendations that won't break the bank.
Thank you,
Bret
