Was at the lgs at lunch looking at a Colt Officers Model Match 38 spl. for $750.00 When one of the guys working there spotted me, and said they just got one in he thought that I'd like. He went in the back room and brought this out for me to look at.(he knows I'm a sucker for snubbies)So it followed me home for $350.00 I have heard the dash three has a slimmer frame, does anybody know what grips will fit it?

Thanks
Grant

I have that same S&W 12-3. Its a great light weight CC revolver, but the grip thing can be a problem. All K frame round butt grips will fit, but you will have a space at the top of the grip where the frame gets wider, that is the part that is thinner. I added a peice of craft foam to fill the gap on my rubber grips for my model 12, but I really have been thinking about geting a Tyler T grip too. Good luck with what ever way you go!;)

Congratulations. They're nice carry guns, that's for sure.

Mine is a -2. It's been fired, so I didn't mind shooting it. It's a straight shooter, that's for sure.

The T-grip is a nice addition to the Magna grips. All I've ever wanted.

It cost more than $350.00. :) I'd say you got a good deal.

I think Eleanor is a -3 version,,,

I was going to check last evening but I forgot to.

Anyways I didn't know the frame was a teensy bit thinner then a normal K-frame,,,
I ordered a set of Pachmayer "Gripper" for her and they fit just fine,,,
Perhaps there is a teeny bit of gap between the top and frame,,,
But it's not noticeable unless you really look hard.

It would probably be if they were wood stocks though.

Nice purchase you made my friend,,,

Mine is either a 12-2 or a 12-3, can't remember which.

The thinner grips thing is annoying, but not, as bdb indicatd, insurmountable. So far I've kept the original grips on mine.

Don't shoot it with +P ammo. It can be really tough on it.

I had a set of Pachmayr's laying around that I bought for my Model 66-2 snub, and they fit fine, just a tiny gap at the top of the grip which is hardly noticeable.
My lgs usually has some great deals on used guns.It seems like every time I go in there, I walk out with another one.

I also have a 12-3 r/b 2in. barrel that didn't have the original grip panel. I looked for several years for a set but never found any. Finally took a set of k frame grips and sanded them (making them thinner) until they fit, put a some tru-oil on the sanded part. They fit and look factory. Just be sure to sand the grips on a flat surface and take your time.

Well, I took it to the indoor range at lunch. This is at 40 feet. Not to bad for a snubbie.
