Smith and Wesson Bodyguard trigger break question.

I am sure a number of you guys have seen this question asked many times.

I just recently purchased the bodyguard, and made the awful mistake of not firing it before I purchased it. I went and shot it yesterday and also rented the p238 and the kimber micro raptor just to see a bit of comparison. Boy, did I make the wrong choice.

What's done is done, and I was wondering will upgrading to a Galloway short stroke trigger help with the long break? The break on the stock model bodyguard is terribly long and throws off my aim. It's just not fun to shoot. Looking for any suggest (besides buying a new gun)

Thanks in advance.

I have a bodyguard, however I don't have the trigger, my advice is to just practice with it, it's DAO compared to the SA of the other guns you've mentioned, it's got a long heavy trigger pull to cock the hammer like a DA revolver does. The thing that helped the most was the inclusion of the pachmayr grip sleeve. It adds a tiny bit of width but cushions the edges of the grip and makes it much more comfortable to shoot with. After ~100-150 rounds it was getting a tad bit uncomfortable without it. I found he trigger pull wasn't as bad afterwords.

I made the same mistake. Bought the Galloway kit. 100% improvement! Shame you have to spend more $ to make it right!

My Ruger LC9 had a horrific draw to break and I too upgraded to the Galloway trigger assembly! Vast difference, but not as nice as the LC9S trigger.
