Is it possilbe to put a Magan Trigger on a Smith and Wesson 386PD?? How big are these guns for concealed carry?? Are they a K frame??

I like the fact the 386 PD is a 7 shot and its only 17 oz. I have a Smith and Wesson 642 (concealed hammer j frame) at 14 oz.

I like automatics and all but I would love to have that reassuring feeling that the trigger is not going to go off without me or someone else having the magnet rings on. There are no children in the house and I know all about keeping your finger off the trigger until your ready to fire but I want to keep Mr. Murphy at bay for as along as I can.

Any comments would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

Mr. Correo:(

To each his own I guess, personally I would never own one especially with a double action pull. Murphy could also work against you. "Margaret, have you seen my ring!" Do you feel you need a magnet ring on that 642? The 386 is an L frame, just a shad larger in the cylinder housing than a K frame, takes a K frame grip. I like the concept of the larger, yet lighter weight guns. I think the K frames give me a better grip, point more easily than the smaller J frames. Good luck.

Nope I do not have a Magna trigger on my Smith and Wesson 642. Its not as reliable in a jframe as it is in the larger, K, N, and L frames.

The person who would know is Rick Devoid at Tarnhelm Supply Co. Give him a call -- I'm sure he'll give you an answer one way or the other.
