Smith and Mossy 3000...

I recently purchased a couple of Smith and Wesson model 3000 (police) shotguns and really have enjoyed them. Very smooth and the trigger is the best that I have found on a "cheap" shotgun.

I want to make a field gun out of one. I have found a few sources for a slug barrel but no longer (read : larger than 20") vent rib/shot barrels. Any ideas where to find one? The one I did find was Corsons Barrels and they want $245 for it.

Anyone know of a source for a vent rib barrel that is threaded for choke tubes? I know Mossberg model 3000's have interchangable parts if that helps.

Whats the cavity in the stock?? I've never seen one there before. Nice looking shotgun (don't like the orange though)

No love one the barrels?

One more time before I let the thread die. Anyone know of a source for other barrels for this shotgun? Especially a vent rib/shot barrel
