I found a refinished matt blue Smith 13-2, pinned and recessed with a 3"bbl today. The finish is perfect, since it was just redone.
It's had an action job and the barrel has been crowned and the front edge of the front sight rounded off skillfully.
It's a beauty and it only cost $239.
The S&W 3" K Frames are probably the best all purpose, do anything revolvers. They are short enough for CC yet long enough for medium range work. .38's for practice/.357's or .38+p for defense. I prefer the fixed sights on the 13 and 65..no snag on clothing. Shoot the heck out of it, clean and oil it and keep it close. You won't be disappointed. I think many others here will echo my sentiments.( BTW, same goes for the Ruger GP100 in 3". ) Enjoy!
