small rifle primers in pistol calibers?

So, I have small rifle primers and am running very low on 9mm. I have everything I need to load the 9mm but the primers. What happens if I use small rifle primers in those 9mm. Bad idea?

I have been using small rifle in small pistol for a while now with no issues. I have also used small rifle in place of small pistol magnum without issue.

2 important points.

1, work it up from start, as you should whenever changing components.

2, they are generally harder than pistol primers. Some guns may not set them off reliably. However in a g19, lc9s, p365, and gp100 I have had no problems setting them off.
