Small Problem...Maybe

I have a Remington 870 and I just received my Spec Ops Adjustable Stock with a aftermarket forend. I put the forend on myself now things don't seem to work like they use to. If I tighten the nut to the magazine tube (connects the sling) the shotgun will not re-cock. If I losen the nut a little it'll cock just fine. What could be causing this and at all possible can it be dangerous.

Don't have a clue. Switch to the stock nut and see what happens. Switch to the stock forend and ..., disasemble and reasemble and ... See what works what doesn't and isolate the problem.

Nevermind

Call off the concern. Just as soon as I posted that thread I had an idea. I checked the nut that holds the forend to the rails (ones supporting the firing pin and extractor). I decided to tighten it a little more and it actually tightened a lot. Problem cleared, woo hoo! Time for the Range with my newly upgraded toy.

You will love it. I bought one for my 870 Police so my wife could shorten it for use her use, and when I took it to the range I found I could fire that thing all day and the only thing that got sore was my thumb from loading over 75 shells.
