Small handgun box/safe for under table mount?

I want to buy a small pistol box/safe I can mount under a coffee table in my family room. It is a wood table with about a 4" wood border around the outside (so if I screw the box to the bottom of the table, a 4" or 5" box probably won't show). It needs to be something I can open quickly without looking, but very secure against being opened by someone who doesn't know the combination (kids will probably be the ONLY ones who will see it). It will need to hold at least one full-sized semi-auto pistol (probablyh CZ75B) and ideally two (maybe a Makarov along with the CZ). An extra mag or two would also be nice. I'd like to be able to set my own combination.

I know I've seen a few of these around. Seems like I saw one that sort of drops down when opened. I've also seen them with doors that hinge and swing inward (but these look like they might cut into pistol space quite a bit - and what if the pistol slides forward and blocks the door?) Of course, I'd also like to get it for a reasonable price. So, recommendations on which to get and where to get it?

Try Handgun Safe

Try the following link.

http://www.handgunsafe.com.

I have one of these -- they are very strong, with a door that is spring loaded and swings out of the way. The lock is a Simplex type (with push buttons) that has a resettable combination and can be operated without looking at it. They are heavy (mine is the small one and it weighs about 24 pounds) so think about the strength of what you are going to bolt it to. It comes with a lot of various types of bolts and fasteners, so you have a lot of options out of the box. The size I have holds a full size handgun with extra magazine with no problem and you can get larger ones.

As far as price, they are not cheap, but they seem to be very well built. (BTW, I have no association with the makers and do not receive any commission :D )

I have a MiniVault: http://www.gunvault.com/

It can be mounted upside down and bolted, and has a keypad entry (in the shape of your hand so you don't have to look) and it can also be opened by key entry. Three wrong keypad entries will automatically lock the box unless it's opened by key.

I too prefer the ones from handgunsafe.com. I have one mounted to my bedframe, and love it. I just can't get used to the idea of locking my gun in something that takes batteries for me to access it again.

Another one that sounds like it would fit your needs perfectly is this one:

I'm considering one for my wife's side of the bed. But for pure, unadulterated THEFT protection, you can't beat the handgunsafe safes. Mine weighs 27 pounds, and uses 1/4" thick steel.
