small gun locker

Gunners,

I have had a gun safe for several years, but lately I have been thinking of getting a small handgun locker/safe.

One that could fit in a bedstand drawer. Big enough for a 1911 and a spare mag and a flashlight.

One that opens quickly and is nearly impossible to "guess" the combination.

Any suggestions?

Gun vault makes a number of options for what you want. I have a small steel box (though made by a different company) that I keep in my car and when I travel to secure my carry gun. They come in a variety of options, from key-lock to biometric.

If you want something mor robust, I know Fort Knox makes a hearty pistol safe, but have no experience with it.

I also have a safe, but I purchased a small handgun vault from the
NRA Store. They have good prices and you can search the Internet
for a coupon code to get a good discount.

Midway sells some small handgun lockboxes called "Secure It." These have the sesamee-type combination locks on them. I use one for my travel rig. Used to use the Nanovault but hated the key lock and much prefer the Secure It combination lock.

I keep a HD gun in mine all the time so I don't want to leave it in a drawer that can be taken very easily if someone was to break in when I'm not home. Mine is bolted down.

drawer pistol safe

maybe a biometric safe would work out for ya. I have one and have access to it in one sec. with my thumbprint. I scanned my print about 5 times just to be sure there isn't any problems ( can program up to 35 prints). I still need to bolt mine down and am trying to figure where to place it. I don't want to drill holes in my drawer being they are antiques. afraid if my home is broken into and they see the safe bolted to the drawer, they would just take the whole drawer or shelf. anyway I'll figure something out, just wanted to recomend the fingerprint safe because of the speed.
