Small continental nickle plated revolver

Can someone tell me anything about the name "continental"...?? A friend of mine found a very small, old, revolver in his grandfathers things last weekend.

It's little, and I mean really little, looked like a .22 short, seven shot. It's nickle plated, with what looked like rosewood grips. All it said on it was the name on the top of the barrel, and a four digit serial number on the bottom of the grip frame. It had a small rounded grip, and a low front blade sight. I can't remember much else, I just glanced at it for a few seconds. We were both in a hurry Sunday afternoon....

I just want to get this started so I can tell him something when I see him this weekend. If anyone here knows what this thing is off the top of your head, I'd be glad for any info.. My friend works a late second shift, so I can't get a picture untill this weekend. I'll post it ASAP though, probably Friday evening...
