Does the Bulgarian SLR-95 rifles i see in shotgun news have the reciever cut to be able to convert them back to a pistol grip stock(with the proper american parts)?

cutting the reciever makes it a demilled parts kit

since the receiver is the gun and it is now destroyed as a preban receiver

the parts can only be assembled as a post ban configured rifle

to keep it legal to have a pistol grip, it will need a certain number of USA made parts to make it a non imported american made rifle

guys read the words of the post, not into it. I already know the really useless laws pertaining to the conversion of ak's to pre-ban style, and what a parts kit is. What i want to know is if the bulgarians cut their recievers, like half the other imported ak's, so they are unable to ever be converted back to a standard ak stock set. if they can be converted back to use a standard ak pistol grip stock with the proper american parts then i'll get one, if i'm stuck with the butthole stock forever then i think they are useless. Which way are they made?

It's not hard to convert, although the lower tang is no fun to install...

I just plain didn't bother to install the lower tang, having the buttstock attached by the upper tang screw, along with DevCon epoxy in the receiver's socket. Quite solid, and much better than the butthole thumbstock.

I at first had the walnut furniture set as sold by SoupBowl Enterprises. But it looked and felt clunky, so I sold the furniture set, kept the US-made lockwork conversion parts, and bought the K-Var black synthetic US-made furniture set. Much better!

They're worth at least taking a look at, if you want to legally convert your milled-receiver Bulgarian SLR-95 to AK-style furniture:
