slings/swivels for 10/22

hello all,

i am looking into getting a sling for my 10/22 and was wondering what opinions and experiences y'all have had with the ones you have chosen. also what swivels are the best choice? btw, it is a stainless steel standard model.

I got a simple, basic Uncle Mikes nylon sling and swivels from Walmart. Nothing fancy. Seems it was about $20 total.
 
I normally use the Butler Creek foam padded sling on my slinged 10/22s. The foam pad does help quite a bit in spreading out the load and reducing chafing and also provides a bit of spring cushioning through stretching when the gun is shouldered and I'm walking.
 
Shooting or carrying

I have the Uncle Mike's 1.25" utility sling and also Uncle Mike's quick detach swivels to fit. It's not stretchy so you can use it as a shooting sling for offhand shots. They come in a stainless finish to match your gun.

After you attach a QD swivel, you can mount a Harris bipod on it if you want.

Uncle Mike's makes a nylon sling with a strip of non-slip material on the back side.
They work great . . . .better than leather.
Best of all, they're cheap !
