Sling for shotgun???

Inside a house, a sling is a snag waiting to happen.

Outside, though, nigh essential.

What's the mission and use environment?

I think it depends on how much you carry the gun. I don't see the need of a sling to help steady a shotgun for a shot unless you are longer range deer hunting with a slug and a rifled barrel. Otherwise, the only other purpose for a sling is to carry the weapon or cosmetics.

I can see where it could impede getting off a shot in some emergency situations depending on how familiar you are with the gun sling equiped. I only have one shotgun with a sling, and my rationale is because the gun came with the swivels. It looked like it was missing a piece without a sling (cosmetic).:)
