Sling for 10/22

As the thread title implies, I'm looking for a sling to put on my 10/22. No particular reason, I just think a rifle needs to have a sling lol. Does anyone make one? And how do I attach it as the 10/22 does not have anyplace I can attach it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Depending on what model of 10/22 you have you well need a pair of sling swivels. A quality leather sling is what I like on my 10/22 International model.

my vote is the same as docnyt above.... basic GI sling... but I would buy two and modify so that you can have the quick slip clips on both ends of the rifle.

That's what I did with mine. Once you learn how to use it, it's pretty hard to beat a USGI cotton web sling. I have them on 4 of my rifles, now.

Just about everybody makes one and as far as attaching, it will differ depending on which model you have. Some 10/22's even come with swivels. If you have the carbine then let me suggest the stud that clamps into the front barrel band. Most others, you will have to drill the forend and use the machine screw stud. Do not put a wood screw type in the forend but these are okay for the butt end. Lately I have been installing Uncle Mikes fairly exclusive as they seen to have the wider variety. You can also mount a barrel clamp type but feel you won't have to on your 10/22. All of Unclemikes products, come with good instructions on how to install. ....
