Slide action tube for maverick 88 20in.

Hey looking to pick a slide action tube for a maverick 88 20in security. What size tube do I need for the mav 88? Looked around online and gotta kinda confused and lost. I thought it was just a regular 500 tube I need, but apparently there are two different sizes...

It seems to vary depending on the length of the forearm.

Probably best to ask Mossberg. On the phone they will ask for your serial number and from that they know exactly what you have.

Are you changing barrels and need a matching magazine tube for a 20 inch long barrel?
If so, purty sure for Mossberg pump actions, barrels and mag tubes should come as a matching set.
That's due to the way the barrels attach to the end of the tube.

The "slide action tube" is not the "magazine tube"

It connects the to the pump handle and has the action bars that connect to the bolt.

See, I did say "Not sure what you're asking."
Talking about different sizes for the action tube and short barrels kind of threw me, there.
But then it doesn't take all that much to confuse me, either.
