Have you seen a series of books being sold recently, "For Collectors Only"? There's one titled "SKS-45" or "CKC-45" by Joe Poyer & some other guy, the only good thing in the book is some serial # info, the rest is a bunch of useless measurements of the weapon's pins & screws. I belive he said he got the SN info for the Chinese weapons from Da Keng at Keng's Firearm Speciality, so you might want to try there, too. Do you suppose our pals at Burn All Toddlers First might have a list? They're the ones who are supposed to lock you up if you (God forbid!) install an archaic folding bayonet on the wrong weapon, so I would think they ought to be able to discern pre vs. post ban based on SN's.
