SKS Thumbhole Carbine

Anybody have an SKS thumbhole carbine mfg. by Norinco and imported by Labanau Inc. of Ronkonkoma, NY. ? I have one in the shop with the mag. latch assy. broken off and missing. I need to mfg. a replacement that duplicates it in both function and appearance. I would greatly appreciate a few close up photos of the latch assy. posted to this thread.

About midway down this page at SKSMAN shows the mag catch latch, but they unfortunately show as being out of stock. Decent pic though.

I think this is what the orig. poster was talking about. Takes (most) AK mags.

NG on the "plastic" Tapco's....... I usually just use the metal 5 rounders & there's never a problem. I shoot mostly WOLF ammo through it.

model18: The phot of the SKS you posted is the one I have less mag. latch assy. From what I can see, the latch looks about like I thought it would. If the gun in the photo is in your posession, would it be possible to post a couple close up photos of latch assy. with mag. removed?
