sks question

hi all,
i found someone that is selling an sks and i have a question about the legality of bayo's and hi cap mags.

the rifle has both a bayonet (which will be removed) and two detachable mags, a 5rd and a 30 rd.

is a detachable 30 rd legal?
is the bayo legal?

Mags are okay, the Bayo could be a problem if it is a Norinco and a Spike Bayo. Eastern block SKS's are okay cause of C&R with the blade.


Or so i have been told.

You may find the issue of detachable mags to be moot, since most people I have talked to say the SKS functions best with its original fixed mag. Such has also been my experience with my Romanian SKS.
 
yep,its a norinco with a spike. im not too fond of it to begin with,plus the fact that it could get me some trouble if im pulled over on the way to the range or whatever
 
Just don't mount the Bayo and you should be goog to go.
I have a Like new Norinco and two tricked out Eastern Block I am thinking about selling. If you would be interested? Two have cammoed ATI Drag stocks, Laser on one and a 3x9x40 scope on the other :confused: What I was thinking I shall never know.
