SKS prices in SoCal

Where can I get a Romanian SKS for a decent price in LA/Orange County, PRK.

I saw one at Turner's for $259! I know SGN has them listed at $130. I'm thinking of applying for a C&R FFL just so I can order one from the dealers in SGN. Any CA-DOJ restrictions on this?

Wow, which Turner's was that high? I live near their Chino wherehouse and, last I looked, they were $170.

Wait 'till they go on sale, which they do very often. They are usually $179 on sale, $239 regular price. If it was $259, they've got it priced wrong.

What condition are they in?

I have found that the $130-150 SKS have cracked and/or repaired stocks and numbers that don't match. Bayonets have been removed and then put back on (four crimps instead of two), reblued, etc.

This applies to J&G in Prescott as well. Base-priced rifles all had cracked stocks. $20 more for hand-picked improved some. Get about $200+ for a "collector" Romanian with matching numbers and nothing redone.
