SKS-help

hi what all calibers does the SKS come in-i am looking into getting 1 and my uncles cell phone connection was bad and i didnt hear what caliber he said-it was an SKS and i thought he said 30 caliber and its for 180-good condition and theirs another 1 thats 200 for better condition

Hays KS huh?
Now that's God's country! We have a couple folks who I work with who went to Ft. Hays State.
I just bought my first SKS on Saturday. Wow, a very fun gun. I shot the heck out of it Saturday and Sunday. I'd shoot it again this weekend if it wasn't dove opening weekend. When I asked about the SKS I got lots of good info from a lot of good people. The prices are all over the board too. From what I read, $180.00 is a good deal. Mine was $200.
Good luck.

Wow, I got a really good deal. Slightly used Norinco SKS for $115 Cdn and a brand new one for $135 Cdn. Thats under $100 US for both.:D

115 and 135 eh...

Let me guess, u got ur sks' at Milarm and P&D.... just a wild guess. Can't say as I am a big fan of the SKS. While the fun factor of blasting off 100s of rounds of 7.62 does have its appeal, I would rather have just a rifle that could accurately reach out to 1000 yards... if I want to blow off lotsa of ammo I'll just reach for my 10/22.
Besides the fit and finish of the SKS and AK family guns just plain out sucks... No offense to ppl who own these guns but I prefer more than just pure functionality.

ok...

u cant blast 100 shots :-p-u have to make it semi auto and i have only seen 1 thing that can do this legally and i dont know if its really legal-i will use it for coyote and deer and maybe some other things around there-hope i get it :)
