SKS Bedding

Only if it was a loose fit in the original stock. Some folks have changed stocks from like, one military type to another, and found a too tight or too loose fit. Maybe someone on SKSforums has done that but that rifle seems to have a definite limit to accuracy, although some have claimed to get two inch groups with a scoped Yugo. Not bad for close/mid range coyote or deer I suppose. Don't even recall getting much results from dumping the bayonet on the ones I have had. So I just leave it on in case I need to guard prisoners after WW3. :p Note: there is someone over there that does good trigger jobs on the SKS and that might pay off alot more than bedding the stock. I think it is around 60$ and you just send them the trigger group. Or it is someone on Surplusrifle.com, I forget which forum.

SKS

Sir:
If I was going to do it, I'd use Brownells "steel-bed" at the rear and a small area to secure the "side slop" in the action.
I've got two Russians, new, and it will be hard to get that rifle "one" with the stock but if you want to try it let me know how it does.
