Sizing .459 to .458

Is there a way to size a bullet from .459 to.458 without using a lubrisizer? The reason I ask is that I plan to powder coat and I really do not want to pay the extra 200 dollars for a lubrisizer press.

The Lee .457 can be opened up to .458 pretty easily with some valve lapping compound or other abrasive material.

Well paying the extra $38 is not a problem, will the Lee bullet sizer accept sizing dies from Lyman or RCBS or other sizers? I find it peculiar that they do not have a .458 die since there seems to be a lot loaders that love Lee products including my self.

The Lee sizing dies are push-through that attach to your press (7/8-14 thread bodies). The tool is super simple, just forcing a lead slug through a steel tube basically. I have enlarged a couple Lee sizing dies with a wooden dowel, split an inch or so and a piece of emery cloth wound around the dowel. Place the dowel in a drill, oil the emery, and insert into the die. Turn the drill slowly and check often...

First, I'd try shooting some of the .459 bullets to see how they grouped.

Some rifles perform better with bullets a bit larger than nominal.
