I was kinda bored the other day, so I set up a couple fancy photos of my new Sistema. First is the TFL Traditional (tm) shot: the Sistema, two GI mags full of 230-grain hardball, and my sgian dubh.
Some info: The Sistema was made in 1961 or 1962 (the serial number reference I found wasn't 100% specific). The hammer, trigger, sear, beavertail, and mainspring housing are replacement Wilson Combat parts, and the trigger's been worked over to a very nice 3.5# pull. I think it shoots slightly high and left at longer ranges (25 yards+), but that could be me shooting high and left. Handily, it cycles SWC ammo without a hitch. I love it!
I picked up the knife at a smallish Mountain Man rendesvous a few years ago. My pipe band was playing there, and I needed a new sgian dubh (aka boot knife). The handle is made of antler, and fits my hand quite nicely.
