single action- vaquero vs. bounty hunter

I'm looking to pick up a single action "cowboy action" revolver.
After tooling around town I've seen two I like. The Ruger Vaquero is smooth and feels real nice. The other is the EAA Bounty Hunter, which is nice and about $130 cheaper. I have not heard much about EAA though. I will be going with the 45lc that is already determined. So any suggestions, or did I overlook something else on the market?
Thanks

If you expect to compete in cowboy action competition, the Vaquero is probably a better bet. It is much better known, with parts suppliers ready to provide support, and gunsmiths who can tune them. It is also bull strong and will last forever. There is a new Vaquero coming out. It is shown on the Ruger website. It is smaller than the current Vaquero, more closely simulating the Colt.
There are also other choices, like competing in Modern class. I use Blackhawks in modern. I prefer to sight in with a screw driver, rather than a file.

There is nothing wrong with the EAA Bounty Hunter, but the Ruger single actions are built like tanks and have a very good reputation. In my opinion, they are worth the extra money.
If you are going to use it for cowboy action shooting (or maybe even if you don't), you will put a lot of rounds down range. A little extra spent up front will pay off down the road.
There are also many Colt SAA clones made by Uberti and others that may be worthy of consideration, but my experience with them is limited.

Both are good. They are basically the same revolver as EAA licenses their transfer bar safety from Ruger. The EAAs are a Colt-style mainspring rather than a coil. The EAAs are capable of triggers measured in ounces. I have had two or three of each in 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum and 44-40 in Vaquero form. You can use the same leather for EAAs and Rugers. They use different grips though. I have no trouble from either brand. I would buy both brands again. I have had good service from both for years.

Thanks, After looking at the two I think I will go with the stainless Vaquero.
It just felt better to me, and the bounty hunter is not available in nickel or stainless to my knowledge. But then again I might find something else at the show this weekend......

Spend the extra & get the Vaquero.
The Bounty Hunters were offered in nickel a couple years back, the two I handled were poorly done. The blued one I fired a year or so ago shot well & was better finished.
My money goes on the Rugers for track record, service, parts availability, and better overall workmanship.

Ok, so I endend up changing my mind a little bit.
But I ended up with a ruger vaquero 357mag.
Found it new for 330 stainless steel, i thinks that was good??
