Ok so Im new to rifles and scopes. a friend gave this to me as a gift. When I look through it the retical appears to be out of focus. It is fuzzy, almost seams as if it has a mirror image. I need to know if I should trash this thing or is it fixable? Got any help?
 
It should have a focus ring on the eyepiece of that scope. Some the whole eye piece turns and has a lock nut to lock it into place, some it's a ring that turns and the eyepiece stays still. You focus it until it looks good to your eye. Also is it an adjustable objective eyepiece? If so, you need to make sure that's adjusted for the range you are shooting.

Thank you very much for your input. I found the lock nut, got it set just right for my eye. Ive been shooting shotguns for 20 years, kinda felt like an idiot not being able to figure out a simple rifle scope!!! Its all set up now, going to sight it in tomorrow!
