Simmons 30mm and 42mm size difference?

Would you throw something at me if I said "about 12 millimeters"? :) Seriously, I think that's about it, 12mm times the length of the scope. You can find the dot faster in the 42 mm one.
 
he probably means the physical size, ie 4.5" vs 4.0" or whatever. I notice that the "Technical specifications" links don't have any size info in them.

I am going to try to stop at Bass Pro this saturday so I will take a look at the 30mm and 42mm red-dots that they have.

Also what is everyones thoughts on reflex sights?

Sportsmansguide.com has one for around the same price as the Simmons red-dot scopes that I have been looking at but I don't want to waste $35.00 on one if they don't work very good.
